Friday 12th of May is M.E awareness day 2017. Here are a few things you can do to help raise awareness of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and support those suffering.
💙 Add an M.E charity twibbon to your profile picture.
Adding a ribbon to your profile picture can help raise awareness and show your support. Smile For ME twibbon can be found here
💙 Superhero for a day
You need to be a SuperHero to live with this illness so why not dress like one? Dress up as a superhero, wear your undies outside your clothes, be as creative as you like. M.E is an invisible illness so by wearing your pants on the outside you are showing something that is usually hidden and bringing it out in the open. Share your photos to raise awareness and why not ask your friends and family to sponsor you to do so? You can create your own event with our fundraising link which can be found HERE. Tag us with your pictures on social media we would love to see.
💙 Millions Missing
MillionsMissing is a movement to raise awareness for M.E, an underfunded and ignored disease. On May 12th, 2017 13 cities in seven countries will demand change. We ask for increased government funding for research, clinical trials, medical education and public awareness. Find out more information on their website www.millionsmissing.org and join in with the hashtag #MillionsMissing on social media.
💙 Blue Sunday
Blue Sunday is an annual tea party fundraiser created by Anna. This years tea party is being held on Sunday 21st May. You can join the facebook event page Blue Sunday – the tea party raising funds and awareness for M.E for more information. Drink tea, eat cake and raise money for a M.E charity of your choice.
