11th October 2022 is Smile For ME’s 10th Birthday!
Over 10 years ago Smile For ME started off as a little idea with the hopes to make a few people smile. We have now sent over 1300 Smiles to people affected by ME and are a registered charity mostly run from my bed. We love running Smile For ME and are so thankful to everyone who has helped make it possible over the past 10 years.
Thank you to every single person who has supported and helped Smile For ME along the way. From the other co-founders and Trustees to everyone who has donated, fundraised, shown support or even just left us a kind message. Your support means more than words can say.
I was 17 when I co-founded Smile For ME. My life had changed completely being diagnosed with ME a few years earlier. Not only was I experiencing a debilitating illness but also the isolation and loneliness that came with it and that was why I wanted to show others going through the same thing that they were not alone. I am so passionate about Smile For ME, it means such a lot to me and I am really grateful for the kind support which has enabled us to do what we do. It has given me a purpose and helps me knowing that in a small way I am helping others in the same position by showing them that someone cares.
Our Birthday is special to us because it is a reminder of what we have achieved. Running a charity mostly from my bedroom means everything we do is so personal to us. Each Smile is individually chosen, wrapped and posted with love to help spread a smile and remind those who are often isolated from the world that they are thought of and not forgotten.
Thank you for your support over the past 10 years.
A special thank you to Wendy and my parents, Jacqueline and Clive, for being a part of Smile with me.

Thank you Jackie for making this wonderful cake
Donate
We are always so grateful for donations because it enables us to continue sending Smiles to ME sufferers and their carers. Help us celebrate 10 years by donating:
To celebrate we played a game ‘Smile is TEN’ on social media. We counted down the 10 days with different questions to get people involved to help share a share and remind others they are not alone.
